Humour me. Why are Labour and Lib Dem voters happy to share who they are voting for but Conservative, UKIP and Brexit voters not? Political alliance is not a bloody secret society, or is it? I’m just one of those old fashioned people who thinks politics is very personal and I am not embarrassed to be upfront about where my vote will go, based on policy proposals not personality. And you know what, I can even like people when I don’t agree with their politics. And when I don’t agree with someone’s politics I’m really interested to know their views and how their view was formed. Unless we talk and discuss this stuff how will we get anywhere other than further and further apart? Divide and rule is the oldest political trick in the book you know. I’m pretty sure we cannot rely on any politician to bring the country together so it’s kind of up to us, regardless of how we vote on Thursday to be adults and talk and to get comfortable with speaking about politics. Our children are watching us and whatever the outcome of this General Election our children are learning from us and we owe it to them and ourselves to do better. . . . . #generalelection2019 #votevotevote #strongertogether
Some things are just meant to be. I didn’t buy this vase the first time I went to @nightingales_emporium I got a smaller one because I didn’t need two but I just love these and had my chubby fingers crossed this one would still be there today when I popped into their Christmas Market and she was sitting in the corner waiting for me ☺️ I also managed to get a couple of @byrnecandles, their winter spice blend is too dreamy. Last Christmas I brought a candle online after reading about it and it was bloody expensive and it literally had no smell. I’ve been pissed off with that candle and feeling robbed for a whole year! These Byrne candles definitely make up for it. I’m excited to smell their other blends. Right more important than smy shopping; who is entering into 2020 with the intention to #lowbuy? I can’t quite commit to no buying but low buying is absolutely spot on for me. I don’t often need anything, I’ve enjoyed buying secondhand cookery books this year and generally do secondhand first already and I have lists. If something isn’t on my list I don’t need it, but I reckon I can still do better and buy less. So low buying is something I can commit to. . . . #shoplocal #shopsmall #shopindependent #lowbuy #lowbuy2020 #smellslikechristmas #organicshapes #handmade
The best thing about a Spiderwort / Tradescantia plant is they are so easy to grow from a single broken off stem. This is what a limp stem saved from the floor at Lidl looks like five months later and I have another cooking from a broken stem of this one. . . . #thebestthingsinlifearefree #easyhouseplants #slowliving #spiderwort #plantbabies
